The World's Memo Service:
Sending Memos
To send a memo, use any standard Web browser (Internet Explorer 5 or newer, Netscape 6 or newer, Mozilla, Opera, Safari, etc.) and follow these steps.
1. Go to memo.TheWorld.com.
2. Click "Send A Memo".
3. A form will ask for the recipient's World ID, and your contact ID and password. If the recipient gave you a contact ID and password, type those in. If you do not have a contact ID and password, you can follow the instructions on the screen to send an anonymous memo. (Note: Some recipients do not accept anonymous memos.) Fill in the three fields, and click "Write The Memo".
4. The next form is for composing your memo. Enter a subject line and as much (or as little) text as you'd like. If you wish, you may attach a file (to enclose a document or picture along with your memo) by clicking the button near the paperclip icon. (Note: Files can't be attached to anonymous memos.) Click "Send!" and you will see confirmation that the memo has been delivered.
That's all there is to it!
If you'd like to send a practice memo, you can try sending one to World ID 'memo' from contact ID 'guest' with password 'secret'.
